Rougemarin bistro to relocate to Mimara Museum in Zagreb

The Rougemarin bistro is relocating from its long-standing location in Folnegovićeva to the Mimara Museum in Zagreb. Following the completion of renovation work on the museum in July, the bistro is expected to open in the historic palace on Roosevelt Square in late October.

Owner and chef Marin Medak stated that the new location will feature a smaller space with a refined concept focused on gastro-culture. The menu will consist of a smaller, carefully selected number of dishes that have influenced global culinary history, alongside a curated wine and cocktail list that will undergo monthly changes.

Dr. sc. Tajana Pleše, director of the Mimara Museum, noted that the bistro will play a significant role in the museum’s new phase, which includes an updated permanent exhibition and increased public engagement. The partnership aims to integrate museum visits with gastronomic experiences, creating a cultural destination for both local and international visitors.
