Roundhouse Comedy Festival launches with Frank Skinner headlining

The Roundhouse Comedy Festival opened its month‑long run at the historic Roundhouse venue in Camden, London. Veteran comedian Frank Skinner, 69, headlined the first night, delivering a 40‑minute set that mixed self‑deprecating jokes about his age with light references to the World Cup. He was joined on the bill by Phil Wang, Rosie Jones, and Celya AB, while Saturday Night Live UK star Paddy Young served as compere and handled two hecklers.

The festival, promoted as a showcase of British comedy talent, will continue throughout August with tickets still available for selected performances. Organisers highlighted the mix of established and emerging acts as a key draw for audiences.
