Route 3 Racing Club offers free motorsports access in Greenwood
The Route 3 Racing Club, a non-profit organization based in Greenwood, is working to make motorsports more accessible by offering free motard racing opportunities. Founded by directors Angus McNeil and Dale Robins, the club aims to eliminate financial barriers that often prevent children, youth, and adults from participating in motorcycle racing.
The club provides various activities, including rider training sessions, race events, and demo days. Participants range in age from 12 to 60 and travel from various locations, including Vancouver, Edmonton, and Saskatchewan, to join the club. McNeil noted that the program serves as a tool for youth development, helping young riders build confidence and passion.
From September 12 to 13, the club is scheduled to host its fifth Annual Motard and Music Festival.
