Route del Panathlon reaches Cremona to promote ethical sport
The eleventh edition of the Route del Panathlon, a non-competitive cycle tourism event, arrived in Cremona following its departure from Ossana, Trentino. Approximately thirty cyclists completed the second stage of the journey, which aims to promote ethical sportsmanship, fair play, and sustainable mobility.
Participants were welcomed in Piazza del Duomo by members of the Cremona Panathlon and escorted by local police motorcyclists. The event continued at Canottieri Bissolati with a gathering attended by Mayor Andrea Virgilio, Sports Councilor Luca Zanacchi, Bissolati President Maurilio Segalini, and CONI provincial delegate Alberto Lancetti. During the event, local officials and Panathlon governors from Veneto and Friuli emphasized the importance of road safety and respect for rules in sports.
The route is scheduled to continue toward Mantova before concluding in Venice, coinciding with the 75th-anniversary celebrations of the Panathlon foundation.
