Rovigo hosts 29th Voci per la Libertà festival for Amnesty

From 23 to 26 July 2026 the historic centre of Rovigo will host the 29th edition of “Voci per la Libertà – Una canzone per Amnesty”, a festival that combines music and human‑rights advocacy. The program features a varied line‑up including Murubutu & Moon Jazz Band, Dente, Francamente, Ibla, the Magicaboola Brass Band and solo artists such as Agnese Valle, Giovanni Segreti Bruno, Vincenzo Fasano and the Love Bombing project. Semifinalists of the Amnesty Emerging Artists prize will also perform, with the five best acts advancing to a final on Sunday. Free entry is offered for all events.

The festival includes exhibitions such as “Polarights – Il glossario dei diritti umani” (a collective work from a Politecnico di Milano design course) and the painting collective “Geometrie di speranza: colori oltre il conflitto”. A debate titled “Arte oltre le mura: Esperienze creative in carcere” brings together experts from the prison system, journalism and cultural sectors to discuss topics ranging from Italian prison conditions and the gender gap to the role of artists in conflicts, genocide awareness and people‑power movements. The event aims to turn the city into a space of awareness and dialogue on contemporary human‑rights issues.
