Rovinari woman detained for violating protection order

A 45-year-old woman from Rovinari has been detained for 24 hours following an investigation into destruction and the violation of a protection order. According to the Gorj County Police, the woman allegedly cut the electronic surveillance device she was required to wear.

The device was part of an order issued by the Târgu Jiu Court, which prohibited her from approaching a sports betting hall in Târgu Jiu within 100 meters, as the victim operates a business at that location. Police were alerted to an illegal access alarm regarding the device during the night of October 10-11.
