Rowe Park Sports Centre nears completion ahead of National Intermediate Games

The Rowe Park Sports Centre in Yaba is undergoing rapid renovations to prepare for the maiden National Intermediate Games, scheduled for October 1 to 15, 2026. The Lagos State Sports Trust Fund (LSSTF) confirmed that work on the indoor sports hall and squash courts is progressing quickly under the supervision of contractor Intemol Consult Limited.

LSSTF Executive Secretary Olaposi Agunbiade noted that the facilities are expected to be ready by mid-September, ahead of the original schedule. The project has been supported by funding from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Intemol Consult Limited representative Arc. Niyi Lawal stated that engineers have been working continuously to meet a compressed six-week target, with the indoor hall and squash courts expected to be fully operational by the third week of September.
