Rowenta and Shark release new cordless vacuum technologies

Rowenta has introduced the X-Force Silence 20.80, which the company describes as the most powerful and quietest cordless vacuum cleaner in its lineup. The device features up to 410 Air Watts of suction power and operates at a noise level of 69 dB. It includes an intelligent Auto mode that adjusts suction power based on the floor type and an anti-tangle technology designed to prevent hair from clogging the brush roll.

In separate consumer testing, the Shark PowerDetect Clean & Empty was evaluated for its performance on various surfaces. While it was surpassed in recent tests by a newer model from its own Luxe Collection, the device demonstrated reliable cleaning on carpets and tiles. The vacuum utilizes a “Detect” mode that uses color-coded LED lights—turning purple when dirt is detected—to signal when areas require more intensive cleaning.
