Rowing success for Paraguay and Uruguay at South American Games

Rowing competitions at the 2026 South American Games in Santa Fe have produced significant results for Paraguay and Uruguay.

Paraguayan rower Fiorela Rodríguez secured a silver medal in the coastal rowing individual event. After advancing through the quarterfinals and semifinals, Rodríguez finished the final with a time of 03:47.65, trailing gold medalist Pamela Noya of Peru. This achievement brings Paraguay's total medal count at the games to 27.

Uruguay concluded its rowing campaign with a strong performance, earning a total of 13 medals. Bruno Cetraro won gold in the single sculls, securing his qualification for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima. Cetraro also contributed to a gold medal in the quadruple sculls alongside teammates Martín González, Felipe Klüver, and Leandro Salvagno. Additionally, Nicole Yarzón earned a bronze medal in the open single sculls.
