Roxbury man arrested for alleged vehicle assault in Charlestown

Luis Serrano, a 28-year-old man from Roxbury, surrendered to Boston detectives following an incident in Charlestown where he allegedly struck a pedestrian with his vehicle.

According to the Boston Police Department, the incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on a Thursday near Bunker Hill Street. Police report that the suspect and the victim had been involved in an argument prior to the collision. The vehicle reportedly crashed through a fence and became stuck at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Serrano was wanted on a warrant for assault to kill and has also been cited for reckless operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury. He is expected to face arraignment in Boston Municipal Court.
