Roy Black's daughter reflects on life 35 years after his death

Thirty-five years after the sudden death of German singer and actor Roy Black on October 9, 1991, his daughter Nathalie Böhning has shared reflections on growing up without him. Born only 25 days before his passing, Böhning noted that while she does not feel a sense of loss for a relationship she never experienced, she would have welcomed the chance to know him personally.

Böhning expressed that she sees resemblances to herself in her father's gestures and expressions when watching his old films. Despite her lineage, she has chosen to live a private life as an entrepreneur, intentionally declining television offers to avoid being defined solely by her father's fame.

Roy Black's death occurred in Oberbayern after he failed to take necessary medication following a heart valve operation. His final professional works included the series ‘Ein Schloss am Wörthersee’.
