Roy Keane to discuss career with Roddy Doyle at Kerry event

Former footballer and pundit Roy Keane will appear for a two‑night conversation with author Roddy Doyle at the Gleneagle Arena in Kerry on 18 and 19 September 2026. The event will focus on the story behind their bestselling book about Keane’s final years at Old Trafford and his subsequent management career. Tickets go on sale Thursday at 9 a.m. via the Aitken Promotions website.

Keane and Doyle previously collaborated on the autobiography "The Second Half", which topped the charts and was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize. The book revealed anecdotes such as Keane’s refusal to sign Robbie Savage and his displeasure at players listening to ABBA before matches.
