Roy Paci headlines summer jazz concerts in Selinunte and Accadia, Italy

Italian trumpeter and composer Roy Paci will perform two high‑profile jazz concerts in August. On 5 August he will play at the Tempio E in the archaeological park of Selinunte as part of the Selinunte Estate program, accompanied by his band members Paolo Vicari (drums), Marco Gaudio (bass), Gaspare Palazzolo (sax) and Roberto de Nittis (piano). The set will include jazz‑styled tributes to classic Italian singers such as Renato Carosone, Louis Prima, Domenico Modugno and Fred Buscaglione.

Two days earlier, on 3 August, Paci and his group Aretuska will headline the Accadia Blues Festival in Piazza Matteotti, Accadia. The concert is part of his Fiesta Global Tour, which began in Puglia earlier this year, and is supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Region of Puglia and the mayor of Accadia. The event will showcase Paci’s hybrid sound that blends Mediterranean roots with Latin, ska, reggae, R&B and jazz influences.
