Riyadh Air adds A350s and 787 Dreamliners to target 100 destinations

Riyadh Air has firmed its order for six additional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, bringing its confirmed A350 tally to 31 units as part of a planned total of up to 50.

The carrier also exercised options for 28 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, converting 20 of the aircraft to the larger 787‑10 variant. Once all options are fulfilled, Riyadh Air’s Dreamliner fleet will total 67 aircraft. These acquisitions support the airline’s goal of operating more than 100 international destinations by 2030 under Saudi Vision 2030.

Since launching revenue service in June 2026 with a fleet of six 787‑9 Dreamliners, Riyadh Air has opened a new route between Riyadh and Madrid and announced a partnership with Air Europa to improve connectivity to Latin America. The airline plans to expand its network to over 100 cities worldwide, leveraging the added capacity and range of the A350‑1000 and the expanded Dreamliner fleet.
