Royal Air Maroc expands network with new European and African routes

Royal Air Maroc has resumed its Casablanca‑Libreville service after a suspension that began on 24 May 2026 due to a surge in kerosene prices linked to Middle‑East tensions. The airline also inaugurated a direct Lille‑Casablanca flight operating twice weekly from 3 July 2026, targeting the Moroccan diaspora in northern France and Belgium.

In addition, Royal Air Maroc announced four new European destinations—Bilbao, Alicante, Lille and Verona—served by Boeing 737 aircraft that can carry up to three tonnes of cargo per flight. These additions are part of a broader strategy to strengthen Casablanca as a hub for connections to African cities such as Agadir, Dakhla, Abidjan and Cotonou, bringing the carrier’s weekly European schedule to roughly 430 flights.
