Royal Air Maroc renews partnership with Senegal's religious city of Touba
Royal Air Maroc and the religious city of Touba in Senegal have renewed a partnership agreement aimed at facilitating travel for members of the Mouride brotherhood. The agreement focuses on supporting the organization of major religious events, most notably the annual ‘Grand Magal’ hosted by the city.
The signing ceremony took place in Touba and was attended by Touba Mayor Abdou Lahad Ka and Royal Air Maroc Commercial Pole Director Ilham Kazini, alongside other company executives and representatives of the Mouride brotherhood, including Serigne Kousso Mbaké and Serigne Khadim Mbaké.
The partnership seeks to meet the transportation needs of Mourides, particularly those living abroad, during large-scale religious gatherings. Representatives noted that the agreement strengthens the spiritual and economic ties between Morocco and Senegal while utilizing the airline's international network to connect the Senegalese diaspora to their homeland during significant religious occasions.
