Royal Antwerp FC signs 17-year-old goalkeeper Vic Luyckx
Royal Antwerp FC has awarded 17-year-old goalkeeper Vic Luyckx his first professional contract. Luyckx has been with the club since the U11 level after previously playing for R Cappellen FC.
Currently a member of the Young Reds, Luyckx faces significant competition within the club's youth ranks. Other young goalkeepers vying for playing time include Platon Matiukov, Lowie Piselé, Mathis Lens, Ruben Coenen, and Noa Maes. Despite the high level of competition for starting positions in the Young Reds and U18 squads, the club has chosen to secure Luyckx's future as part of its ongoing focus on developing young talent.
