Royal Bengal Tiger spotted near village in Odisha

A sub-adult Royal Bengal Tiger was spotted near a cattle shed in Khaparkhai village, located within the Karanjia forest division. The sighting caused panic among local residents after the animal was seen moving through the area for approximately three days.

Forest officials confirmed the presence of the tiger and noted that it had moved back toward the nearby forest after being spotted by villagers. The animal is believed to be dispersing from the Similipal landscape in search of territory. Local reports indicated the tiger had consumed a goat in the area on Wednesday.

The Forest Department has intensified surveillance and monitoring of the tiger's movements. Residents have been advised to exercise caution, particularly when approaching forested areas during the evening and night.
