Royal British Legion celebrates 30th anniversary of Pedal to Paris

The Royal British Legion celebrated the 30th anniversary of the ‘Pedal to Paris’ charity cycling event on September 4, 2026. Approximately 180 British cyclists gathered in Calais to begin the commemorative ride, which serves as a memorial to fallen soldiers.

The journey spans nearly 450 kilometers across four stages, connecting London to Paris with a symbolic finish on the Champs-Élysées. Participants departed from Calais toward Abbeville following a wreath-laying ceremony at the Unknown Soldier monument. Despite strong winds and rain, the group proceeded with the multi-stage trek.
