Royal Caribbean expands Australian fleet to three ships for 2027-28 season

Royal Caribbean has announced an expansion of its Australian fleet for the 2027-28 summer season, deploying three ships to the region. The deployment includes the newly upgraded Ovation of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas sailing from Brisbane, while Anthem of the Seas returns to Sydney.

This expansion coincides with the October 2027 opening of Royal Beach Club Lelepa in Vanuatu, which will serve as an exclusive cruise destination included on every South Pacific sailing from Sydney and Brisbane. The program will feature itineraries ranging from two to 12 nights across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, as well as a 25-night transpacific voyage from Seattle to Brisbane.

The move is viewed as a significant commitment to the local cruise industry, which has previously faced concerns regarding shrinking capacity and rising operating costs.
