Royal Caribbean to return Voyager of the Seas to Hong Kong in 2028

Royal Caribbean has announced that the Voyager of the Seas will return to Hong Kong as a seasonal homeport from January to February 2028. This deployment is specifically timed to coincide with the Chinese New Year holiday and the peak winter school travel season.

The return of Voyager of the Seas will create a two-ship deployment in Hong Kong alongside the Spectrum of the Seas. This expansion aims to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as a regional cruise hub in Asia, offering travelers a wider variety of short-term weekend getaways and longer itineraries to destinations such as Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

Royal Caribbean plans to have four ships deployed across its core Asian homeports of Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore during the 2027-2028 season. The Hong Kong Tourism Board welcomed the expansion, noting it demonstrates confidence in the city’s cruise tourism prospects.
