Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas debuts expansive onboard retail program
Royal Caribbean’s new Icon‑class vessel Legend of the Seas began its inaugural Mediterranean cruise carrying up to 7,600 passengers. The ship’s retail areas were designed by Starboard Group, a Miami‑based curator affiliated with LVMH. Starboard’s launch includes a collection of first‑at‑sea brand experiences such as Clarins Lip Bar, Drunk Elephant, Kenny Flowers, Lagos, lululemon and Maison Francis Kurkdjian, along with new concepts like Fashionphile vintage luxury handbags, Aurélie Bidermann fine jewelry, the Treasure Chest toy store and personalized‑keepsake shop 6th & Main. Luxury retailers including Breitling, Chanel, Chopard, Dior and Sol de Janeiro also have boutiques onboard. Lisa Bauer, President and CEO of Starboard, said the retail offering “inspires discovery, creates lasting memories and reflects the unique spirit of each ship.” The extensive shop lineup aims to enhance the vacation experience for families and travelers on what is billed as the world’s largest cruise ship.
