Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas set for two Ponce port calls

Royal Caribbean’s new Icon‑class vessel Legend of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship with capacity for up to 7,000 passengers and about 2,350 crew, will dock at the Port of Ponce on March 31 and April 14, 2027. Governor Jenniffer González and Puerto Rico Tourism Company executive Willianette Robles Cancel announced the visits, describing them as a “vote of confidence” in the island’s tourism sector. The two stops are projected to generate roughly $1 million in economic activity for Ponce and the southern region, benefiting local commerce, restaurants, tour operators and small‑ and medium‑sized businesses. Each visit will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., giving thousands of visitors time to explore the city’s historic and cultural attractions.
