Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas to debut in Europe in July 2026

Royal Caribbean unveiled its third Icon Class ship, Legend of the Seas, during a chocolate‑making workshop in Singapore. The megaship, built over two years in Turku, Finland, will launch in Europe on 4 July 2026, offering seven‑night Western Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona, Spain and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy. After the European season, the vessel will sail to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in November for Western and Southern Caribbean cruises that include a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay.

The ship boasts record‑breaking amenities, including 28 dining venues, a new nightlife concept, and a large water park. Its flagship entertainment will feature a Broadway‑style production of *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory* and an immersive Silk‑Road‑inspired dining experience called Royal Railway. The delivery ceremony on 15 June 2026 was attended by Royal Caribbean Group Chairman Jason Liberty, CEO Michael Bayley and Meyer Turku CEO Casimir Lindholm, honoring the work of over 1,200 crew members and thousands of engineers, designers and architects who completed the vessel.
