Royal Malaysian Navy warships to anchor in Melaka for National Day

Five Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) warships are set to anchor near Klebang, Melaka, as part of the state-level National Day celebrations on August 31. The vessels involved include KD Lekir, KD Terengganu, KD Laksamana Muhammad Amin, KD Gempita, and KD Sri Indera Sakti.

Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Yusoh noted that this marks a historic occasion, as it is the first time the Royal Malaysian Navy has provided such support for National Day celebrations held in Melaka.

Members of the public can view the warships via boat services departing from the jetty, with four scheduled sessions daily. While boarding the ships is restricted to selected individuals due to security protocols, boat trips will allow visitors to circle the vessels. Additionally, various military assets will be on display, including the 155mm G5 MKII cannon, Supacat 6x6 All Terrain Mobile vehicles, Rapid Ranger Missile Starstreak, PT-21M Pendekar tanks, and HMAV 4x4 Lipan Bara vehicles.
