Royal Marsden Centre for Cancer Genomics launches in the UK

The Royal Marsden Centre for Cancer Genomics has launched in the UK to advance personalized cancer diagnostics and treatment. The facility is the first to implement composite biomarker testing, a method that integrates data from a patient and their tumor using artificial intelligence (AI).

By combining measurements such as DNA, RNA, and proteins, the AI creates a specific score to help clinicians determine the most effective therapies and treatment spectrums for individual patients. This approach aims to move away from a ‘one-size-fits-all’ model toward continuous monitoring and flexible treatment plans that can adapt as a patient’s cancer evolves. The findings are expected to improve access to clinical trials and more precise medical interventions for NHS patients across the country.
