Royal Solomon Islands Police Force promotes 25 officers

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) conducted a promotion ceremony at Rove Police Headquarters on August 28, 2026, elevating 25 officers to the ranks of Sergeant and Senior Sergeant.

Acting Commissioner James Aitorea stated that the promotions were the result of an internal, merit-based process evaluating competence, leadership, and commitment. During his remarks, Aitorea emphasized that the new ranks carry increased responsibility, accountability, and expectations for professionalism and integrity.

He encouraged the newly promoted officers to serve as role models, noting that their leadership and decision-making directly impact public confidence in the organization.
