Royal Thai Police announces new administrative policies for 2027
Pol. Gen. Samran Nuamma, Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police, has announced the administrative policies for the 2027 fiscal year, aimed at restoring public trust and faith in the law enforcement organization.
The new policy framework includes nine key pillars, such as protecting the monarchy, suppressing crime, enhancing public services, and utilizing AI and technology. Four urgent priorities identified by the government include drug suppression, investigating nominee businesses, cracking down on scammer gangs, and combating corruption.
To improve efficiency, the Commissioner General ordered a reduction in administrative burdens, specifically cutting redundant meetings to “return time to police to care for the people.” In terms of traffic enforcement, officers are instructed to prioritize public convenience and use a graduated fine system to mitigate hardship. Additionally, the police aim to improve response times for residential areas and integrate with private security networks to enhance public safety.
