Royal Unibrew renews 46‑year partnership with Denmark’s Smukfest
Royal Unibrew and the Smukfest music festival have signed a new multi‑year agreement, extending a partnership that began in 1980 and is Denmark’s longest‑running collaboration in the festival sector. The renewal was announced this summer, marking 46 years of joint cooperation.
Commercial director of Smukfest Kasper Sandfeldt Bjergbæk said the brewery provides the stability and beverage variety essential for the festival’s operation, while Royal Unibrew country manager Louise Palsten highlighted the brand’s expanded portfolio of sodas, energy drinks, specialty and draft beers. For each litre of draft beer sold, Royal Unibrew donates two kroner to the Smukfonden, amounting to roughly DKK 500,000 a year, which supports social projects across Denmark. The partnership will continue into the upcoming spring edition of Smukfest, with new features such as a festival‑app function for guest connections and additional audience areas in the forest.
