Royal Wine Corp. launches first US kosher-certified alcohol-free wines

The non-alcoholic wine market is expanding significantly, driven by health consciousness and changing consumer habits among younger generations. Royal Wine Corp. has introduced J. Folk UnWine, which is recognized as the first kosher-certified dealcoholized wine in the United States. Additionally, the Loire Valley-based project Divin, also distributed by Royal, is offering 0% alcohol Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc options.

Industry data from IWSR indicates that global volumes for non-alcohol alternatives grew by approximately 9% in 2025, with projections suggesting a 36% volume growth between 2024 and 2029. The American non-alcoholic market is expected to reach nearly $5 billion by 2028.

Beyond lifestyle choices, the rise of GLP-1 medications, such as semaglutide, has been identified as a factor influencing reduced alcohol consumption. Research published in The Lancet and by the University of Colorado has noted a reduction in heavy drinking and cravings among users of these medications.
