Royce White attends WNBA game to protest transgender athlete inclusion
Former NBA player Royce White attended a Connecticut Sun versus Indiana Fever WNBA game wearing a blonde wig to protest regarding the eligibility of transgender athletes. White, who has previously claimed he and Enes Kanter Freedom are ineligible for the 2027 WNBA draft, used the appearance to advocate for the inclusion of Black transgender lesbians in the league.
The incident follows comments made by Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham, who stated in an ESPN interview that she believes women’s locker rooms should be protected from transgender athletes to ensure fairness for biological female athletes.
