Rozendaal municipality faces annual deficit of up to 500,000 euros

The municipality of Rozendaal expects a structural annual financial deficit of between 400,000 and 500,000 euros in the coming years. In response to inquiries regarding a proposed merger with Rheden and Brummen, the municipal executive stated that continuing to operate independently is no longer financially or organizationally viable.

Beyond the projected deficit, the municipality faces backlogs in executing statutory tasks and requires structural organizational reinforcement for which no funds are currently available. The municipal executive has advised the council to proceed with the merger. The council is scheduled to make a final decision on the proposal on November 10.
