Rozova Dolina winery in Banya put up for sale for 1.66 million EUR

The Rozova Dolina winery in Banya, Bulgaria, has been put up for sale by a bank with an asking price of 1,662,000 EUR. The facility is equipped for the production of white and red wines, as well as rakia.

The winery is the successor to the former Vinprom Banya enterprise, which was well-known for its ‘Karlovski Misket’ variety. The site has historical connections to Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, whose palace is located nearby; at one time, certain wines produced at the winery featured his personal coat of arms. Notable visitors to the winery include Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Prince Consort Henrik.

The industrial site is located in the northern part of Banya on the Plovdiv-Kalofere road. It comprises a courtyard of 8,881 square meters, including a space designated for a railway siding, and a main industrial area of 38,845 square meters. The property includes 18 buildings with a total built-up area of 19,753 square meters, complete with necessary production machinery and a private wastewater treatment plant.
