RP Gers Festival returns for 27th edition in Plaisance-du-Gers

The 27th edition of the RP Gers Festival will take place in Plaisance-du-Gers from August 14 to 16. Organized by the Association MultiCulturelle (AMC), the event is a significant gathering for fans of fantasy, science fiction, and various gaming cultures in Southwestern France.

The festival features a wide array of activities, including role-playing games, board games, video games (both retro and modern), card games, and wooden games. Attendees can participate in immersive experiences such as escape games, treasure hunts, murder parties, and live-action role-playing elements like playful fencing and trollball. The program also includes cosplay parades, costume-making conferences, masterclasses, and exhibitions.

In addition to gaming, the event hosts a market for creators and illustrators, book publishers, and writers. The festival emphasizes local creation and eco-responsible practices. Admission is 5 euros on Friday and Saturday, while entry is free on Sunday and for children under 12.
