RP Singh addresses Sonia Gandhi’s book and various political issues
BJP National Spokesperson RP Singh addressed several political and social issues, accusing the opposition of politicizing various matters. Regarding Sonia Gandhi’s autobiography, Singh noted that HarperCollins will now publish the book after Penguin had previously declined due to factual concerns. He dismissed claims that the opposition attempted to block the publication, contrasting the current situation with the censorship seen during the Emergency.
On security matters, Singh stated that security arrangements for figures like West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee are determined by security agencies based on threat assessments rather than political decisions. He also commented on India’s economic standing, citing remarks from the Belgian Prime Minister and international institutions like the IMF and World Bank to highlight India’s growing role as a global economic partner.
Additionally, Singh touched upon the Disha Salian case, the arrest of an accused in the Nishu Azad matter, and an Air India flight incident involving allegations of crew intoxication during a Phuket-Delhi flight.
