RPI Athletics reports multiple victories in football, field hockey, and soccer

RPI Engineers college athletics Transit Trophy Game field hockey men's soccer

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) athletics reported several results across multiple sports programs. In football, the Engineers secured the Transit Trophy with a 35-7 victory over WPI, fueled by a strong second-half performance and two defensive touchdowns.

In field hockey, RPI earned its first win of the 2026 season by defeating Hartwick 7-4, highlighted by a hat trick from Sophia Brown and two goals from Emily Dubord. The men's soccer team also opened the season with a 4-0 shutout against Westfield State, featuring two goals each from Harrison Brownlow and Justin Woodbine.

In women's soccer, RPI fought to a 1-1 draw against Drew, with Maddy Kaminski scoring a late equalizer to secure the point.
