RPP holds political retreat in Ali-Sabieh to address national challenges

The Rassemblement populaire pour le progrès (RPP), the ruling party in Djibouti, is holding a three-day political retreat in Ali-Sabieh from September 3 to 5. The event focuses on the theme: ‘What party in the face of new national, regional, and global challenges?’

Led by Prime Minister and RPP Vice-President Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed, the retreat aims to strengthen coordination between the party, the government, and the administration. Discussions have centered on improving dialogue with the population to better identify regional needs and ensure that public policies effectively address the concerns of citizens on the ground.

The meeting follows the April 10 presidential election won by Ismaïl Omar Guelleh. Participants, including RPP Secretary-General Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh, are examining how the party can adapt to evolving regional and international environments to better serve the nation.
