RPS Group opens two Yorkshire offices to boost home retrofits
Domestic heating and renewable energy contractor RPS Group announced the launch of two new offices in Northallerton and Pontefract, expanding its permanent presence across Yorkshire. The move supports its strategy to meet rising demand for home heating and energy‑efficiency upgrades driven by the UK Government’s Warm Homes Plan, which estimates around 500,000 homes in Yorkshire and the Humber will need retrofitting.
RPS Group’s retrofit programme, run with Together Housing, has already installed air‑source heat pumps in more than 1,200 homes and, together with ground‑source heat pump and solar PV projects, improved over 1,400 properties – making it one of the nation’s largest low‑carbon domestic retrofit initiatives. The company also secured contracts with York City Council, Broadacres Housing Association and Vico Homes, aiming to reduce bills for low‑income households while cutting carbon emissions.
