RQD Clearing raises $74M for digital asset and tokenization infrastructure

RQD Clearing has secured $74 million in a minority growth investment to expand its digital asset custody and tokenized market infrastructure. The funding round was led by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, with participation from ABN AMRO Clearing Bank and Nyca Partners.

The capital is intended to support the firm’s expansion into North America, Asia, and the Middle East. RQD plans to use the investment to develop products capable of holding blockchain-based assets for financial institutions and to strengthen its role as a custody infrastructure layer for digital assets.

As a technology-driven clearing and custody firm, RQD provides infrastructure for broker-dealers, investment advisers, and foreign institutions to access U.S. markets. The company reported clearing approximately 515 million equity transactions worth nearly $2 trillion so far this year, accounting for roughly 2.4% of the U.S. National Market System equity trading volume.
