RS Barathi says alliance with ADMK is not a mistake in Tamil Nadu politics

DMK organisational secretary RS Barathi told journalists at the Anna Arivalayam in Chennai that forming an alliance with the ADMK presents no wrongdoing. He argued that recent comments by Marxist‑Communist State Secretary P Sanmugam, which warned that supporting the ruling party could prevent an ADMK‑led government, have sparked a fresh debate in Tamil Nadu. Barathi emphasized that the election has clarified who the allies and opportunists are, and asserted that the ADMK should be viewed as a partner rather than an enemy. He also referenced the historical split of the Communist Party in 1964 and suggested that current coalition dynamics mirror past political realignments.
