RSC Anderlecht officials address Lukaku return and stadium plans

RSC Anderlecht officials have addressed rumors regarding player transfers and infrastructure. Antoine Sibierski clarified that while there were inquiries into Romelu Lukaku's future, no discussions regarding a return to the club took place during his recent meeting with the player, noting that Lukaku currently has other career objectives.

Club president Michael Verschueren expressed confidence that Lukaku will eventually return to play for Anderlecht, though he could not provide a specific timeline.

Regarding stadium infrastructure, Verschueren stated that the club is currently prioritizing sporting success over new stadium plans. While acknowledging that a new stadium could increase revenue by 15 to 25 percent, he noted that the club does not currently have a formal dossier for such a project. Additionally, the club is addressing rising ticket prices by maintaining dialogue with supporters to manage the impact of market inflation.
