RSCA Anderlecht defeats Ipswich Town Under-21s in Premier League International Cup

RSCA Anderlecht secured a 1–0 victory against Ipswich Town Under-21s in their opening fixture of the Premier League International Cup at Portman Road. The decisive goal was scored by Aliya N’Dao in the 23rd minute, breaking through the Ipswich defensive line to beat goalkeeper Woody Noonan.

Ipswich Town utilized the match to build fitness for senior players Cédric Kipré and Marcelino Núñez, who both played over 60 minutes. However, the hosts faced early challenges, including two structural adjustments necessitated by concussion protocols for Jacob Mazionis and Oliver Wilkinson. Despite being reduced to ten men late in the second half, the Belgian side was unable to overturn the deficit.

The match marked the return of European competition fixtures to Portman Road for the first time in twenty years. This follows a previous successful outing for the Anderlecht squad, who defeated Crystal Palace 4–1 in a prior tournament fixture.
