RSM Catamaran Ends Fifty-Fifty Dominance to Win 58th Kékszalag Regatta
The RSM catamaran, steered by skipper Vándor Róbert, crossed the finish line first in the 58th Kékszalag Raiffeisen Regatta on Lake Balaton, completing the 13‑hour‑27‑minute course in 13 h 27 min 42 s. The victory ended the long‑standing dominance of the Raiffeisen Audi Fifty‑Fifty team, which finished third after 14 h 12 min 29 s. Thirteen‑time Kékszalag champion Litke Farkas took second place aboard the Process Solutions‑sponsored boat.
The race featured more than 400 entrants battling shifting winds, with a tactical showdown in the Tihanyi Strait and variable conditions across the lake’s eastern and western basins. Róbert praised the strong field, saying, “The fleet was very strong, there were many fast boats at the start, and it was terribly difficult to keep up with them.” Hungarian Sailing Federation secretary‑general András Holczhauser called the competition “a rare and exciting race” and noted that the regatta continues with many boats still on the water overnight.
