RSPCA seeks new home for deaf rescue dog Eddie

Eddie, a six-year-old bull breed dog, is seeking a new home through the RSPCA after being rescued from unsuitable living conditions in County Durham. The dog was left behind in a property when his owners moved out and was subsequently taken in by the Block Fen Animal Centre in Cambridgeshire.

Staff at the animal centre discovered that Eddie is deaf, though officials note he copes well with his condition. Kennel supervisor Tiffany Fowler observed that Eddie appears to be able to lip-read and remains calm despite the noise of other dogs. The RSPCA is looking for a patient owner who can provide continued training and help him adjust to a permanent home.
