RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat says reservation must stay until discrimination ends

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat told a youth interaction summit that caste‑based reservation should continue as long as social discrimination persists, invoking the vision of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. He warned that political parties were exploiting the quota system for partisan gain and called for transparent, temporary implementation aimed at upliftment. Bhagwat emphasized that beneficiaries should use the opportunity to improve themselves and later pass benefits on to others, urging that the policy be guided by Ambedkar’s principles rather than electoral politics.

The remarks were made during an event marking the 15th anniversary of the India International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN).
