Rüsselsheim am Main upgrades Hessenring daycare playground

The city of Rüsselsheim am Main has completed several safety and usability upgrades to the playground area at the Hessenring daycare center. The municipal playground crew implemented measures to address deficiencies in the slide hill, which no longer met current traffic safety requirements.

Key improvements include the removal and replacement of certain palisades, adjustments to the slide entrance area to ensure safe walking paths, and the installation of a sun sail to provide shade during hot weather. The sun sail also allows for the preservation of an existing tree in the area. Additionally, new planting on the slope and a fence at the slide entrance were installed to guide children along appropriate paths, stabilize the slope, and protect the roots of neighboring trees.
