RSUD Raja Ahmad Tabib undergoes Rp19.98 billion renovation
The Riau Islands Provincial Government is undertaking a Rp19.98 billion renovation project at the Raja Ahmad Tabib Regional General Hospital (RSUD RAT) in Tanjungpinang. The project, funded through a regional loan scheme, is scheduled to run from July 3 to December 29, 2026.
Deputy Governor Nyanyang Haris Pratamura inspected the site to ensure the improvements meet the technical standards set by the Ministry of Health. The renovation focuses on five main interior components: ceilings, toilets from the first to the ninth floors, floor ramps, lobby terraces, and air conditioning systems. Approximately 50 percent of the budget is allocated to the first floor, specifically for the installation of new central AC units.
To maintain medical services during construction, hospital management has implemented a rotating room closure system. This allows physical work to proceed on different floors without disrupting patient care.
