RTÉ and BBC documentary examines Robert McCartney murder case

A new three-part documentary series, ‘Murder in Belfast: Sisters Seeking Justice’, produced by the BBC and RTÉ, explores the 2005 killing of Robert McCartney in a Belfast pub.

The series follows McCartney’s five sisters—Catherine, Paula, Gemma, Donna, and Claire—as they campaigned for answers following his death. The family alleged that the IRA was involved in protecting those responsible for the attack, which included a gang assault and accusations of disappearing evidence.

The documentary tracks the family’s pursuit of justice from the streets of Belfast to the White House, featuring police accounts and footage from the night of the incident.
