RTÉ uses UEFA feed for Ireland vs Israel matches
RTÉ has implemented limited coverage for the UEFA Nations League matches between Ireland and Israel. For the second consecutive Sunday, the Irish national broadcaster utilized the UEFA global feed rather than deploying its own employees for on-screen punditry or studio analysis.
RTÉ stated the decision was made to fulfill “contractual obligations” while simultaneously limiting commercial activity surrounding the matches. As a result, no advertisements were broadcast before the match or during half-time. The coverage for the fixture, played in Bačka Topola, Serbia, lacked standard broadcast elements such as introductions, continuity announcements, or studio analysis, relying instead on the commentary provided by UEFA’s field personnel.
