RTC bus accident in Kamareddy kills driver and injures passengers

A road accident occurred in Telangana’s Kamareddy district when an RTC bus traveling from Hyderabad to Bichkunda overturned near Jukkal Chowrastha. The bus reportedly hit a divider or guard wall at high speed, causing it to crash and overturn.

The accident resulted in the death of the bus driver, identified as Anjaneyulu, who became trapped under the vehicle. While 13 passengers were on board, they escaped without life-threatening injuries, though several sustained minor injuries. The injured were rescued by locals and emergency personnel and transported to Bichkunda Government Hospital for treatment.

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed shock over the incident and has directed officials to ensure the injured receive quality medical care. He has also instructed the Regional Manager and local authorities to investigate the specific circumstances that led to the crash.
